A customer in Central Asia was referred to LEO EV after another workshop had been unable to resolve a no-start issue on a Bestune T99. The workshop had replaced the body control module (BCM), but had not completed the required programming.

First session: the vehicle could start again
Our first remote programming session restored starting. During subsequent use, however, the customer found that the trunk still would not open and the automatic headlights did not work. Getting the engine to start had resolved only part of the problem.
Remote connection with the China-market SmartLink
This case used the China-market version of the LAUNCH SmartLink remote diagnostic tool. On the customer’s side, the setup included a Windows computer with ToDesk for remote access, a network connection to SmartLink, and an OBD connection between SmartLink and the vehicle.

Free follow-up programming resolved the remaining issues
We followed up on the customer’s feedback and provided a second remote programming session at no additional charge. After this session, the trunk opening function and automatic headlights returned to normal, resolving the remaining problems reported by the customer.
This case highlights why checks after a control module replacement should cover related vehicle functions as well as starting. For LEO EV, remote technical support includes following up on the result and helping resolve issues found during actual use.
If your Chinese-brand vehicle will not start or has function problems after a control module replacement, contact LEO EV with the model, replacement module details and diagnostic fault codes so we can assess remote support options.
